Description of his Game: Wesley is skilled with both feet, making him dangerous from anywhere in the field.  Due to his accurate placement and his ability to score from free kicks (as seen at the start of the highlight video below), he's earned a reputation as a dead-ball specialist.  At only 5 feet 7 inches, he's quick, strong on the ball and his passing ability is damn near perfect.

Career News:  Wesley made his debut on the Dutch National team at the age of 18.  All around, Wesley has been a winner.  He's a product of the AFC Ajax Academy, one of the 3 clubs that historically dominates the Dutch national football league. He's gone on to play for Real Madrid in Spain and Inter Milan in Italy, where he won the Serie A, the UEFA Champions League, the Club World Cup, and the Coppa Italia twice.  In 2010, he was one match away from winning the FIFA World Cup when Holland lost to Spain in the championship match.  Wesley was named UEFA midfield of the season and one of the three best midfielders in the world for 2010 by FIFA.  After being sold for €7.5 million in 2013 to Galatasaray, the most successful football club in Turkey, Wesley helped the club win the "Super Lig" in his first season.

Interesting Personal Facts:  Wesley comes from a football playing family.  His father was a player, his older brother Jeffrey played for Stormvogels Telstar, and his younger brother Rodney plays for RKC Waalwijk.
