Career News:  Early in his career he was rejected by the biggest clubs in Brazil and moved to Portugal at a young age.  His agents guided him to Japanese where he found his stride. After scored 57 goals in 91 games for Porto during a recent stretch last year, he cemented his place among the greatest players around the world. 

Interesting Personal Facts:  In 2010, his niece died in a swimming pool accident at the house that he had bought for his family.  Some say the name Hulk came from his resemblance to Lou Ferrigno, while others say his name came from his days in Japan where he wore a green jersey.  In reality, his father gave him the nickname due to his fandom of the Ferrigno series.
