Here is the list of the countries that have qualified from each region as of today.  32 total countries will qualify.  11 have qualified so far.
Europe (UEFA): (13 total countries will qualify. Spain qualified automatically as defending world champions)

Africa (CAF): (5 total countries will qualify)

The following 10 countries are battles for the top 5 spots:  Ivory Coast, Ghana, Algeria, Nigeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Senegal, Ethiopia

Asia (AFC):  (4 or 5 total countries will qualify)

South Korea
Iran

South America (CONMEBOL) (5 or 6 countries will qualify.  Brazil qualified automatically as host nation)

North, Central American and Caribbean (CONCACAF): (3 or 4 countries will qualify)

United States

Oceania (OFC): (0 or 1 countries will qualify)

New Zealand will play a one-game play-off against the 4^th place spot in the CONCACAF
