Career News:   He signed a five-year deal with Southampton in August of 2012. Mayuka led Zambia to winning the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations campaign for the first time in their history by beating Ivory Coast after a penalty shootout. He finished the competition as joint-top goalscorer as one of seven players to score three times, but was awarded the Golden Boot by virtue of having an extra assist to his name.

Interesting Personal Facts:  Mayuka started playing for the Lusaka Academy at the age of 11. He later joined one of the biggest clubs in Zambia owned by the national railway company Zambia Railways where he excelled and  was consequently selected to the Zambia under-17 national team.
