Career News: Fellaini was born to Moroccan parents but was raised in Belgium, where he opted to play when his career forced him to make a choice as a youth player. 

Interesting Personal Facts:  His father had been a goalkeeper with the promise of a professional career in Europe.  However, his Moroccan club never released his paperwork and he instead had to settle to become a bus driver.  He later guided his son's to become a soccer player after Felliani had first showed interest in track.  He became a fan favorite while playing for Everton due to his afro hairstyle.
